A School Built from Passion

Language Garden Montessori opened its doors in Bellevue in 2013, but its roots go back even further. Our journey began overseas when our founders first started teaching in Taiwan in the late 1980s. With decades of experience in both education and school ownership, Caroline and her husband brought their passion for Montessori education and bilingual learning back to the U.S., creating a school that reflects their deep commitment to children and families.

This school wasn't built out of business ambition—it was built because former students asked for it. That passion and authenticity still drive everything we do. Today, Language Garden Montessori stands as a nurturing, well-respected learning community where children thrive and families feel at home.

We follow a traditional Montessori approach while embracing the values of discipline, independence, and respect. In our classrooms, children explore freely within carefully prepared environments full of rich materials and guidance. We believe children are capable of great things when trusted and supported—and our teachers are here to guide them, not control them.

Our bilingual model reflects our belief in the importance of cultural awareness and communication. Students are immersed in both Mandarin and English every day, developing not only strong language skills, but a deep appreciation for different ways of seeing the world.

Language Garden Montessori is co-directed by a husband-and-wife team who bring decades of hands-on experience to the classroom. Caroline, our lead Montessori teacher, has been teaching since 1989 and specializing in Montessori since 1997. She spends three-quarters of her time in the classroom, guiding students directly and mentoring fellow educators.

Our team also includes talented assistants and bilingual educators who bring warmth, structure, and creativity into every learning moment. Many of our staff are multilingual, and all are committed to nurturing the whole child in a supportive and professional environment.

A Calm, Beautiful Place to Learn

Our classrooms are immaculate, thoughtfully organized, and filled with carefully chosen materials. We’ve designed a space that encourages independence, focus, and creativity—where everything has a purpose and is within a child’s reach. You’ll find original artwork on the walls, not just children’s art, to expose students to real-world beauty and culture from a young age.

From the classroom layout to the library and play spaces, every detail is intentional. It’s a place where children feel safe, inspired, and free to grow at their own pace.

Where Cleanliness and Care Come First

At Language Garden, health and safety are never an afterthought. Our facilities are cleaned rigorously, and during the pandemic, we went above and beyond—installing medical-grade air filters, sanitizing hourly, and using ULV fogging technology each evening. These practices helped us maintain an incredibly low outbreak rate and build trust with our families.

We continue to hold ourselves to the highest standards of hygiene and wellness, ensuring that every child can learn and grow in a safe, healthy environment.
