Kindergarten Program in Bellevue for Ages 5 to 6

Kindergarten (Ages 5–6)

Our Montessori Kindergarten Program at Language Garden is designed for children aged 5 to 6 who are ready to take on greater responsibility and intellectual challenge. While held in the same classroom as our preschoolers, kindergarteners work part of the day at a dedicated Kindergarten table with specialized materials that align with their developmental and academic needs.

This mixed-age environment allows them to mentor younger students while also receiving focused guidance in reading, writing, math, science, and cultural studies. Our bilingual instruction continues here, giving children the opportunity to strengthen both English and Mandarin fluency.

With an emphasis on academic readiness, independence, and emotional growth, our Kindergarten Program helps children build the confidence and skills they need for a smooth and successful transition to elementary school—whether in public, private, or international settings.

Montessori Kindergarten Program

Our Kindergarten classroom fosters leadership, independence, and deeper learning. Children are introduced to more advanced Montessori materials that build on concepts introduced during the preschool years. Daily routines include focused academic work, bilingual lessons, creative expression, and opportunities to collaborate with classmates and younger peers.

Dedicated Kindergarten Work Time

Each day, children spend part of their time working specifically on Kindergarten-level lessons—such as journal writing, early reading comprehension, word problems, and cultural projects. This helps ensure they're fully prepared for first grade, both academically and socially.

Bilingual Academic Development

Kindergarteners continue building English and Mandarin fluency through conversation, reading, and cultural activities. Our blended language model ensures daily exposure to both languages, fostering stronger communication skills and a foundation for global understanding.

Art & Creative Expression

Art plays a big role in our Kindergarten experience. Children explore different media—from drawing and watercolor to collage and sculpture—building not only creativity but also fine motor coordination and patience. Exposure to original artwork also nurtures a refined appreciation for visual beauty.

Clean, Safe Learning Environment

Health and safety remain top priorities. Our classrooms are kept spotless and serene, with medical-grade air filtration systems and daily sanitation practices. These standards create a calm space that supports both learning and peace of mind.

The Bridge Between Early Childhood and Elementary

Kindergarten is more than just the final year of preschool—it's a critical bridge into elementary school. At Language Garden Montessori, we honor this transition with a curriculum that fosters academic competence, emotional maturity, and bilingual communication. Our program is ideal for families seeking a more holistic, internationally minded start to their child’s formal education.
